I’m a queer, I’m a trans man, I’m one of the gayest gays that ever gayed, but don’t ask me to say it out loud because I’m still working on making the words come out with the proper glitz. I’m cranking out a Ph.D. in early modern English drama, a process which truthfully causes me more tears and strain than does the process of growing into this new FTM identity. Consider this blog escapism. I evade the frantic pressure of being an aspiring academic by collaging these beautiful fragments of a second puberty, a second round of experimental hairstyles, a second dose of oily skin and running to the bathroom to verify nothing’s erupting out of my pants or my nose or my armpits.
